This year’s Venice Biennale not only provided an opportunity to explore the theme of Foreigners Everywhere but also fostered an ecosystem of collateral happenings that enriched the cultural dialogue, some extended beyond the Biennale’s themes while others completely diverted from it.
Diverting from the fantastical Milk of Dreams two years prior, the 60th anniversary of the Venice Biennale, entitled Foreigners Everywhere, presented its audience with a headline that is provocatively rooted in both reality and conceptual play.
Artvisor’s latest exhibition, Rarities, opens in London on 9th April. Features a body of newly commissioned works by Santiago Reyes Villaveces (b. 1986, Bogotà) and curated by Piero Tomassoni, the exhibition is the first of a series of three exhibitions by the artist, opening this month in London, Venice, and Medellin.
