The show, featured in Vogue Italia, features her new allunati series from 2020, with each work incorporating gold leaf within an Archival Pigment Print.
This new body of work continues the Italian artist’s longstanding interest in space, travel and cosmology. The protagonists of the works – the Allunati – are gold figures who carry out banal activities in space, bridging the gap between unfamiliar and foreign realms, and the spaces of our everyday lives. Her images often allude to a stage or film set, which reveal di Martino’s fascination in the overlaps between reality and fiction.
